Does anyone have any info. about Holmes Boats, Manufactured in Houston, Tx., I think in the 50's? I saw one in a garage two doors down from my folks house today. The grandson of the original owner of the boat said it has been sitting in the garage for the last forty plus years. He thinks it was only used one season and then put in the garage. I looked for I.D. plates and could not find any. It had the "Holmes" logo on the rear corners. (in green) The boat was a little dusty but from what I saw in the dark garage it is a nice old wooden boat. It might be up for sale.

Does anyone know anything about "Holmes" wooden boats out of Houston, Tx.? Does anyone know a forum or website I could go to to help me find out what these boats could be worth? All I know is that the boat was made in Houston, sometime in the 50's. It is an outboard with two Johnson 35 h.p.'s on it. By looks the Johnson's are about the same timeframe as the boat. It was so dark I could not see much and I have not found the right time to view the boat again. (with flash light  handy) I have tried to do a search on all of the major search engines and looked at quite a few antique boat web sites and all I could find is one 18' er in need of total restoration. This one has been sitting in a garage for 40+ years and seems to be in good shape, other than getting dusty. Thanks for your time.
