These numbers were read off a tag on the starboard side of outdrive.

I was bequeathed a 1976 24' Winner Flybridge Fishing Boat. I have no kind of records or references for any equipment on board. I am going to restore, rebuild and refit the boat and am starting with the engine. I do not know if it is the original engine, but my gut says yes. Winner Boat Co. is long gone and I have no way to research thier records.

I have not been able to find any numbers on the block itself yet, due to deterioration of marine use.

I believe it is a 351 W, because there is a firing order cast on the intake that reads 1-3-7-2-6-5-4-8. There is also a casted number D5JE-9425-FA on the intake manifold. I have found that D5JE-9425-FA indicates a 1975 designed, industrial/marine manifold

The valve covers (6 bolt) have been removed and I have found casting numbers in the right head 9H14 and the letters WCP and a very large T all by itself. I have found in the left head 3G18 or 0. I have found out the 9H14 is a date code, 9 indicates 1969 or 1979 or 1989 or 1999, H14 indicates August 14th. I believe WCP means Windsor Casting Products or similar.

This is where I am at now. I am going to go outside and remove carb, intake m. and maybe heads to try to find more numbers.

I have found and located the block casting numbers: D9AE 6015 ED 16

Which is as best as I can tell, a 1979 351 Windsor.

There is an OMC Outdrive ( I am told Stringer ) bearing model # 981061 and serial # W130836.

I need to find out what is this OMC I/O combination called, as I need to find and order a service and repair manual. For some reason, the throttle keeps sticking. I first thought it was the throttle cables, so I took them off. That wasn't it. I got it now to where when it starts, it idles fine. I'll put it in gear and it will reve to a high rpm, but when I put it back in neutral, it doesn't idle back down. Everything seems to be moveing okay, so I was wondering if anyone could help me with this?
